I did:
$ git reset --hard origin
$ git fetch ; git rebase origin
$ CC="ccache gcc" ./configure && make clean && make && sudo make install

Running afterwards still has the problem, only to my feeling a little less
longer hickups, but a little more (shorter, but more).
