Adobe Reader 6 display comments now in current git, with one minor difference from when running on windows - you have to click on this comment popup to see its text, if you don't click on it comment field looks empty.
Please retest with Acrobat/Reader to see if this works well enough.
I have tested under debian jessie 32 bit linux wine 1.7.48 Adobe acrobat XI pro 11 ,although the comments works,we can't input Chinese and any other languages (except English) in that "yellow comments rectangle"(or called sticky notes),that's urgently needed,please help ,thanks -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
