Here in X11 it is the following:

        Identifier  "Generic Keyboard"
        Driver      "kbd"             
        Option      "XkbRules" "xorg" 
        Option      "XkbModel" "pc105"
        Option      "XkbLayout" "de"  
        Option      "XkbVariant" "nodeadkeys"

So on german layout.
