And you completely cleaned ~/.wine ?

If not, try "rm -rf ~/.wine" and try again.

If you still have a problem, although I don't know how useful it will be, try
WINEDEBUG=+relay,+seh,+tid winecfg &> winecfg.log

winecfg.log won't be small so you will need to compress it with decent
compression and attach it here.

Also, what file system are you using?
