vertical writing with Konatu font in Hidemaru

Does this image describe your `crushed picture'?

My environments as follows:
 * Ubuntu 13.10
 * Hidemaru 8.32
 * FreeType 2.4.12 (please note compiled with
FT_CONFIG_OPTION_SUBPIXEL_RENDERING)
 * Konatu font 20121218-3
