Thanks for the hints.

Ok, done all that.  The new dump is now appears to be reporting 256MB -
"fixme:d3d:IWineD3DDeviceImpl_GetAvailableTextureMem (0x133e70) : stub,
simulating 256MB for now, returning 256MB left"

So far one crash then one success...
