To reproduce, run the following commands:

git clone https://git.tartarus.org/simon/putty.git
cd putty
./mkfiles.pl
make -C windows -f Makefile.mgw CC="winegcc -mno-cygwin" COMPAT="-D__MINGW32__"
RC=wrc

The complete build log is attached. There are numerous warnings; this bug
report is specifically about this one:
