Thanks for the tip, but no go: I created an empty prefix, and made a link from
there to the game folder in the other folder; then I export the WINEPREFIX
variable and started the game.

I don't have the DXVK log files in the directory as I usually have, so DXVK
didn't start; and the game was much slower, even in DX9 mode :^) The same
problem was present.

In DX11 mode I just had a popup saying 'your video card is not supported' and
it aborted.
