[Bug 9542] Need for speed 4 (High Stakes) just shows black screen

Ok, ive removed ~/.wine, and did a fresh installation.

I think i follwewd the instructions on appdb for the d3d version by installing
the game (using full), installing the linked 4.5 patch and applying the .reg.

But now, i get a messagebox saying 'Need for speed files are corrupt please
reinstall'.

Any ideas?

btw, i noticed the fonts are all screwed in windows messages, but it couldnt be
that could it?
