I tried a relatively recent version of the CodeWeavers Crossover for the Mac. 
I was not able to enter the registration code.  I looked through discussions
and contacted support, which directed me to install windows fonts. 
Unfortunately, that didn't help anything.  So, yes, as far as I know, it's
still a problem.
