About 25% of the time it actually plays but crashes soon after.
From peeking at the trace logs, I noticed that it plays WAVE_FORMAT_ADPCM sounds just fine but chokes on WAVE_FORMAT_WMAUDIO2. This information might be of help to someone, maybe?
