http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35305 Bug ID: 35305 Summary: Firefox 26.0 fails to launch: "Couldn't load XPCOM" Product: Wine Version: 1.7.9 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: dgerard(a)gmail.com Classification: Unclassified Running Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, with wine-1.7.9 from the PPA. I downloaded the latest Firefox 26.0 binary from getfirefox.com, deleted .wine/ and installed it. Initially it wouldn't install, demanding Windows XP SP2 or later, so I set version to win7 using winetricks. Now it installs, but it won't run. Running it pops up a dialogue box: "Couldn't load XPCOM" Here's the complete command-line output from attempting to run it: $ wine ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files\ \(x86\)/Mozilla\ Firefox/firefox.exe fixme:heap:HeapSetInformation (nil) 1 (nil) 0 $ -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
