I just discovered that this bug depends on the screen resolution.  The game
works normally for me when the resolution is set to 1280x1024 (my max).  Note
that the in-game settings menu will change the campaign map resolution, but the
battle map resolution can be changed as well by editing the preferences.txt
file in your installation directory.
