Wine Staging is a set of patches on top of vanilla Wine. If you can compile
Wine yourself then you can apply the patches from Wine Staging. That way you
can find out which patch is fixing the issue.

If a patch already fixes the problem it saves having to diagnose the issue from
scratch.
