Sorry, I'm not a programer. Is it possible that some other applications could have problem because of wrong writing of hex values? ArcView at least shows where the error is.
If you can't perform a regression test, it will be difficult to fix this bug, especially with no download link. You don't need programming skills to run a regression test, but simply to issues some commands on a terminal, and some patience.
