Happens to me under wine-1.3.24 too, but only if the "setup.exe" is placed on Read-Only NTFS. When i put the installer in my home folder (ext3), everything works. Found by accident ;) when i could not put the console output to NTFS. Adding proper log, as Artem's lack debuging symbol.
