zil, i'm afraid that only confirms that the bug still exists. "Texture detail"
was set to Low at start of this bug, but on Windows the recommended settings is
High, IIRC
check your original screenshot ;e)

unfortunately, i got a new GPU a few weeks ago so i can't test this one
anymore. i can check with the new GPU though, if the recommended detail is
still Low there is definitely a problem
