Maybe we could revert d287548c and then introduce a helper to use a thread to
call vkGetRandROutputDisplayEXT() and then wait for the result with a timeout.
If a timeout happens, we fill in some default values. But eventually, this bug
should be fixed in the drivers. There are already multiple workarounds in the
area.
