This isn't common, as some people have it, some don't. I do have it however, and the uploaded Dwarf Fortress has an example of it. I've done two reinstalls of Dwarf Fortress (unzipping the newest zip into the directory, and one where I just copied the save). The odd thing is that it works fine in Windows for everyone.
