If you are working on this bug, if it is a bug, I will indicate that I was running Ubuntu Linux 9.10 and there was some Microsoft +Net 2.0 that Slingbox installed or attempted to install. For some reason +Net failed, but SlingPlayer continued to install itself.
You should install .NET before running application installer. Use 'winetricks dotnet20' to do it properly (http://www.kegel.com/wine/winetricks).
I was just following the instructions off the internet to install SlingPlayer after installing Wine. SlingPlayer was the one that installed or attempted to install Microsoft +Net. Also, I thought I attempted to execute winetricks, but the command could not be found. The problem with this is that there are hundreds of ways people say to do things on the internet and nothing seems to be standardized with Linux out there to do things and installs properly. It becomes very confusing. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
