Thanks, I found this interesting as I thought I'd just recently installed the
latest version.

checked again on Ubuntu Software Center and sure enough, the version there is
very outdated.

perhapse that's one reason the VS2010 prerequisites fail to install. :P
(I just want Python with informative intellisense, which VS2010 has)
