It appears twice in the registry:

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{F5078F18-C551-11D3-89B9-0000F81FE221}\5.0\0\win32]
@="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Common Files\\Microsoft
Shared\\OFFICE11\\msxml5.dll"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\TypeLib\{F5078F18-C551-11D3-89B9-0000F81FE221}\5.0\0\win32]
@="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Common Files\\Microsoft
Shared\\OFFICE11\\msxml5.dll"

The file is in that location.
