I tried Sam and Max Season 3: The Penal Zone. The Steam version ran fine, but had the flickering cursor. I have the DVD version of Sam and Max Season 3, so I installed that. I ran the DVD version of the game and I had the flickering cursor issue. I quit the game and then closed the Steam client. After closing the client, I ran The Penal Zone again and lo and behold, the desktop cursor is gone. Steam is causing this issue. The very fact that it is running is causing this issue.
