Did you apply my patch from comment #1? It's still needed before you do any install. Also when doing full install from DVD/ISO the issue described in http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8439#c16 (patch attached) is still present. With the recent incorporation of James' work on fusion and MsiPublishAssemblies, VS.NET installs will greatly benefit because many startup/run issues are due to skipped assembly installation steps. Though there are various post-install issues ... frankly said, I'm not very happy with the current SCM/services component state.
