[Bug 28225] Wine refuses to load native MSVCP90.dll, and won't even say why.

Ah, okay. As long as the version is compatible, I can understand that choice.
STILL, I think the crux of my bug report is that wine is not being very
informative about why a "native DLL" gives a not found error when the dll is
staring at the user in the current working directory :S
