I was just following the instructions off the internet to install SlingPlayer after installing Wine. SlingPlayer was the one that installed or attempted to install Microsoft +Net. Also, I thought I attempted to execute winetricks, but the command could not be found. The problem with this is that there are hundreds of ways people say to do things on the internet and nothing seems to be standardized with Linux out there to do things and installs properly. It becomes very confusing.
Currently dotnet runtime should be installed separately to avoid problems. To use winetricks you should obviously download this script first and set execution permission to run it. This is trivial if you are familiar with basic Linux environment. If you aren't please use Wine Forum or wine-users mail list for quick support.
Yes, I downloaded the script. Before I did not see what it was before I responded. I uninstalled everything and reinstalled wine and ran the script. This time Microsoft +Net installed properly. I am not sure how SlingPlayer will work now. It did not, it crashed again. Oh well. I give up. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
