[Bug 9408] Irfanview cannot scan images

In 3.0-rc5, Irfanview 4.42 is able to scan an image, but then continually tries
to rescan it. The scanner continued to run even after forcibly killing
Irfanview; I had to physically disconnect it from the computer to get it to
stop.
