Things to note: * The "Pipelight" patches have been applied to my build of Wine. If the patches help, then its most probably a duplicate. If on the other hand a specific winetricks recipe helps, then this would be very useful to figure out, which component causes the issue. Built a completely vanilla wine 1.7.29 with the following configure command: % ~/winesrc/configure --prefix=/opt/wine Then ran the Oblivion Launcher with this command: % WINEPREFIX="/home/nick/.wine-vanilla" /opt/wine/bin/wine ./OblivionLauncher.exe The Oblivion Launcher behaved perfectly. Once I manually updated the registry so the launcher knew where it lived, I was able to change my graphics settings, load and unload mods, and even launch Oblivion itself.
