previous version was 1.1.22. Current is 1.1.23, but I have to reboot the PC. DCOM98.EXE seems to solve a lot of the related OLE problems.
Which related OLE problems? How are they related to this bug? In the log there is no crash, why do you think the app crashes? Also don't install DCOM98 or anything else without a reason, use clean Wine installation for reporting bugs. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18906 --- Comment #8 from Uwe Koch Kronberg <uwe.koch(a)opticakoch.cl> 2009-06-14 16:32:54 --- Quite the opposite! After installing DCOM98 I had no OLE errors shown from the command line. The errors shown in my first log.txt file appeared before installing DCOM98, no after that. I just followed the recommendation written here: http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#head-4bb9daaf9091eeac20707a6904425e76ffa8ed0e -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18906 --- Comment #9 from Dmitry Timoshkov <dmitry(a)codeweavers.com> 2009-06-15 00:11:28 --- I take that by Ole errors you mean: err:module:DelayLoadFailureHook failed to delay load rpcrt4.dll.I_RpcExceptionFilter wine: Call from 0x7b844583 to unimplemented function rpcrt4.dll.I_RpcExceptionFilter, aborting wine: Unimplemented function rpcrt4.dll.I_RpcExceptionFilter called at address 0x7b844583 (thread 0020), starting debugger... Unhandled exception: unimplemented function rpcrt4.dll.I_RpcExceptionFilter called in 32-bit code (0x7b844583). That means that your ~/.wine is broken. Do 'rm -rf ~/.wine' and install the app again. And once again: In the log there is no crash, why do you think the app crashes? Also don't install DCOM98 or anything else without a reason, use clean Wine installation for reporting bugs. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18906 --- Comment #10 from Uwe Koch Kronberg <uwe.koch(a)opticakoch.cl> 2009-06-15 08:29:37 --- The application does not crash any more. I have had problems with wine neither. May be wine showed a broken install because it was run while I was upgrading from 1.1.22 to 1.1.23. And the original error messages I saw from the command line where OLE related problems. For sake, I did not hold the messages in a log file. An alternative would be to remove DCOM98 and recreate the situation. How do I remove DCOM98 in order to show you the results? Sorry if I was not clear writing all the stuff down during the install process. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18906 --- Comment #11 from Dmitry Timoshkov <dmitry(a)codeweavers.com> 2009-06-16 02:09:45 --- DCOM98 can't be easily removed, you would need to delete/move ~/.wine and install the app again. If the problem has gone, does that mean that the bug was caused by broken ~/.wine? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18906 --- Comment #12 from Uwe Koch Kronberg <uwe.koch(a)opticakoch.cl> 2009-06-16 08:01:27 --- I can not state that. I have installed the application on three different PC's, one of them, without installing DCOM98. Let me check that later today. If it was installed without DCOM98, I will record a log.txt from the command line and post it here. On the other PC's I have both upgraded to 1.1.23 and installed DCOM98. But I do not believe that the problem was caused by a broken .wine. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
