Please specify the Wine version you are using (in the Version field above).
I'm using the latest development release. 1.3.6 I believe with Ubuntu 10.10 and aim 7.4 and it doesn't work as stated above by the original poster. Installs great but upon initiated of the program it crashes. Installer crashes in the end which is a different bug. The AIM app crashes on startup with heap corruption. You can work around this with 'winetricks jscript' which lets the app start fine.
