I sync my palmpilot with Palm's hotsync 1.0. I am using a usb to serial converter. For information on the converter: installed module is: modprobe ftdi_sio vendor=0x0b39 product=0x0103 Wine-1.2 runs fine. I found out that I could reset this by de-coupling the USB port from the computer. After that, hotsync ran fine on wine-1.2.2. The log file flooding only starts when I push the hotsync button on the cradle. This apparently triggers the first communication to the serial port, waking up the hotsync program. Hitting the hotsync button on the cradle should yield a pop-up once it is detected that the Palm hotsync button is pushed. That pop-up does not come.
