The game "Beach Life" crashes on the initial movie (Data/Movies/EidosMovie.mpg). According to mplayer, the movie codec is MPEG1. Since the problem seems related to amstream, I tried installing amstream with winetricks, but still crashes. Does the demo show the bug?
Can't install the demo either with rc2 or rc4 because the installer stays at the screen where launcher is to be added to the menu, when I click next it just goes back to the same screen (screenshot attached). Ok, I will update wine and report back asap. Just one question... is it not an appdb bug because of old wine version, or because of something else? Ok.. i see what you mean now :). I selected appdb initially because i came directly from that site and somehow I thought the description "Submit bugs related to that website" meant related to apps there. Maybe a better description would be "Submit bugs affecting the appdb website itself". (just in case this can help to avoid other ppl falling in the same error..) Do note that while this is indeed implemented, movies still don't play (at least they don't for me).
