Even with fullscreen disabled so that the game starts as a window the focus stays on the terminal. However, direct3d is strangely enough working just fine. Some more info. I'm using ratpoison, which is a tiling WM. I've discovered when I have only one frame open the game actually runs fine in OpenGL. However, OpenGL mode does seem to have problems when I'm running the game in one of two or more frames, while direct3d doesn't have a problem with that. If everything works, then please file bug with whomever makes ratpoison. Wine requires lots of features and FreeDesktop standards complaint window manager. According to FreeDesktop ( http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Specifications/wm-spec ) that WM is not listed at all. So it's not compatible with Wine.
