Brian, basically you need to (1) download the diff-patch or email-patch, (2)
make a separate branch from a "master" and then (3) apply the patch here.

(1) I would recommend to copy the text starting at those lines

Then save the text to event_queries.diff

(2) $ git branch test_event_queries
    $ git checkout test_event_queries

(3) $ git-am -3 event_queries.diff

And then compile Wine as usual.
