Therefore I assume this bug and bug 54878 is the same issue, and a regression test might also just end short after wine-8.1, when default windows version got changed. Graphic issues still persist and treecomp throws exceptions very fast. From once a day or so I now can reproduce it with starting a first sync run... Which version of TreeComp do you use? Version 4.0b52 isn't the recent one. Could you please use the latest version v 4.0 b62 and check again?

Also: Did you try to run TreeComp with wine's Windows version set to "Windows 8" or below (e.g. "Windows XP"). Please report if something changes if you do so.
