[Bug 46515] New: Divide by zero error Zoombinis Mountain Rescue
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46515 Bug ID: 46515 Summary: Divide by zero error Zoombinis Mountain Rescue Product: Wine Version: 4.0 Hardware: x86 OS: Mac OS X Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: bec.cass(a)hotmail.com Created attachment 63371 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=63371 Zoombinis Mountain Rescue Backtrace Hi! I was wondering if anyone can help with a bug I'm having. I've managed to install and play and old game from my childhood (Zoombinis Mountain Rescue) on my Mac. I installed it from an iso file I downloaded and plays perfectly up to a point (Beetle Bug Alley) at which point it freezes and I get the error (attached). It occurs even when accessing the level directly in practice mode as well as when progressing sequentially in normal game mode. I've mostly been figuring things out through lots of googling and manual and forum reading (and hoping I don't mess up my computer!) so I'm definitely a complete beginner in terms of understanding wine! I can't figure this one out and would love some help if anyone knows the answer to this problem! Thanks :) -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46515 --- Comment #3 from bec.cass(a)hotmail.com --- Hi! Thanks for the reply! I have added the log. I had a look while it was running and after all the server_ioctl_file Unsupported lines it still played and ran until I clicked on the problem level. So I don't know if those errors above affected it (even though it seems like it keeps repeating the same error). The lines below were during play and after I closed the crash dialogue. Thank you so much for your help :) -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46515 --- Comment #4 from Fabian Maurer <dark.shadow4(a)web.de> --- You've got a bunch of apple-bug error messages in there, not sure if they are related. Apart from that, there's not much else. Is there a demo to test with maybe? -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46515 --- Comment #5 from bec.cass(a)hotmail.com --- Hmmm no there isn't a demo, sorry. Do you think it might be the apple errors causing the problem? It seems to be some particular problem with that level but I'm not sure where to look to try and find the problem. I've tried deleting, uninstalling and reinstalling both wine and the game and I also just updated my computer software but haven't had any luck :( -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46515 --- Comment #6 from Fabian Maurer <dark.shadow4(a)web.de> --- It's a common issue with APFS - you could try on a different filesystem. Not sure how severe that issue is though, might just be a red herring. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46515 --- Comment #7 from bec.cass(a)hotmail.com --- Sorry this is probably a stupid question but, how would I try on another filesystem? Would I need a different computer? -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
