[Bug 35703] New: Lingea Lexicon 5 crashes on start up
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35703 Bug ID: 35703 Summary: Lingea Lexicon 5 crashes on start up Product: Wine Version: 1.7.13 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: lukaschmela(a)gmail.com The Lingea Lexicon 5 dictionary crashes on start up with all new wine versions including the wine 1.7.13. The last working version was 1.5.8. This issue was probably discussed in an already closed report (http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31446), though I do not understand why it has been marked invalid. A backtrace is attached. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35703 --- Comment #2 from Austin English <austinenglish(a)gmail.com> --- The other report was invalid because some CFLAGS were enabled by Arch that broke wine. If this is a regression, please run a regression test: http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35703 --- Comment #3 from Lukáš Chmela <lukaschmela(a)gmail.com> --- I have finally got the time to go through compiling Wine from source code and found that the issue is finally fixed in Wine 1.7.21 (it was still present in 1.7.17, though, which is the latest version available from Ubuntu Wine team's repository for Ubuntu Raring - 13.04 - already unsupported). There is, however, a new issue introduced with the Lingea Lexicon 5 installer - it creates the directory structure but doesn't copy any files from the CD. It even says "0 MB of space needed" during the installation process (instead of
700 MB). The Lingea Lexicon 5 files can be copied from a Windows or Wine 1.5.8 installation, though and the application is then completely usable.
I will try to run it through a regression test and fill another bug report regarding the installer issue when I find the cause. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35703 --- Comment #5 from Lukáš Chmela <lukaschmela(a)gmail.com> --- I am sorry for my recent confusing. The Lingea Lexicon 5 is currently fully functional and installable with a clean .wine directory. It works with Wine since 1.7.20 (or maybe 1.7.19 which I haven't tested - 1.7.18 makes both, the application and its installer, crash at start up, though). -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
