[Bug 22907] New: CamStudio: does not run after installing.

The main purpose of this report is to let the Wine developers know that CamStudio - after installing - does not work under Wine at all (with AND without the use of winetricks). Having read the test page for CamStudio, it recommends using winetricks to add "mfc42". I did that and CamStudio now opens after installing, but it won't record (it's effectively useless). It comes up with the following error message: "Error Creating AVI File". Confirming. After installing, run 'wine Recorder.exe' in the install directory, and press the record button. This produced a window frame which followed the mouse around. I'm not sure what it's for, but clicking the left mouse button produced the error dialog already mentioned in comment 0, the following terminal output: fixme:msvidc32:CRAM_DriverProc Unknown message: 4004 12637480 0 fixme:msvidc32:CRAM_DriverProc Unknown message: 4009 0 0 fixme:avifile:AVIFileExit (): stub! 4004 might be ICM_DECOMPRESS_GET_FORMAT, and 4009 might be ICM_DECOMPRESS_END.

You have to install a codec like Xvid, Indeo, Lagarith, CamStudioCodec or any other in order for the program to be able to do something. After installing the codec go to Options->Video Options to select it. But there seems to be a real bug after all because of the way the program asks for the default compressor which seems to be not supported in wine, I'm investigating.
