When you have more than one chart opened and ordered in sequence (for example: EURUSD H1, EURUSD H4, EURUSD D1, EURUSD W1... and so on) if you close and restart Metatrader the chart order will be all messed up (for example EURUSD W1 before EURUSD H1 and so on).
So chart layout isn't save or restored properly. This is a desktop snapshot showing Metatrader (and its chart sequence) after closing it down and restarted it up. As you can see the chart sequence is totally different compared to before.
I see. Try to figure out where it stores this data at least: is it registry or some internal configs. Then you could compare this data after closing app with the same layout on native and wine. Then it'll possible to localize a problem: if data differs then bug is in saving configs, else - in restoring layout. Hi, I think I found where MT4 saves his layouts and sequences: /home/username/.wine/drive_c/Programmi/MetaTrader 4/profiles/profilename where: username=your linux username profilename=your current profile (File -> Profile -> profilename) There you can see a number of files named "chart01.chr, chart02.chr, chart03.chr ..." and so on. They are simple text files where are saved all the parameters of a sigle chart, one file per chart. After reading all those files I found that the sequence sits on the "name/number" of the file. For example, if you put a chart on the first left position that chart/file is named chart01.chr. As you can guess chart02.chr its for the second chart and so on. So I understand that the right sequence of charts is correctly saved when you close down metatrader but then its not loaded when you open the application. Hope this helps.
