You get the error messages from the attachment and the applications hangs. Its the EU installer. I tried it first with wine 1.0.1 and then 1.1.8 but same error. Just do WINEPREFIX=~/.wine/newprefix wine Installer.exe This will also reset your gecko install. I'm on Debian Lenny too.
