https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45808 Bug ID: 45808 Summary: Internet Download Manager tray icon not working in latest version ,,,but in old version untill wine v3.0.2 Product: Wine Version: 3.15 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: mahmoud.elswerky(a)gmail.com Distribution: --- Created attachment 62267 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=62267 screenshot showing the 3D classic icon of idm on topbar and that it is not working i want to report a bug i face on running internet download mangager on wine on latest version Note that this bug wasn't present in wine till version 3.0.2 as i remember the bug is that internet downlaod manager system tray icon don't work if it is set to default style (3D styel) but works with classic style (but only the idm icon in system tray ,, but scheduled running downloads icon still not working ) in old versions of wine till v3.0.2 the 3D icon in tray and scheduled running downlaods was working ,,but in latest vesions it is like a freezing icon ,,or just an icon in tray but not working ,,, for example if i set say 10 files in a scheduled task ,, and then run the scheduled task ,,,the icon appears in tray or topbar in linux meaning that a scheduled task is running but i can't restore the currently active download from its tray icon -this was working before ,, and i tested it many times on latest vesions and on old versions of wine to make sure before i write this bug i will attach some screenshots from my deepin desktop showing both the classic icon and 3D style icon on system tray of deepin or in topbar in deepin and how it doesn't work with 3D style icon again i can set the icon to classic style but still i have the problem of scheduled active running downlaods icon not working and i can't restore these downlaods or see its progress menu -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Which kind of Desktop environment are you using? I tested it with current Wine development(wine-3.15) on Gnome 3.30 and it worked for me.
Also paste your Wine version here and upload a log may help.

Deepin desktop on both deepin os and Manjaro_deepin yes i tested it on ubuntu 18.04 and gnome desktop and found the topbar icon working fine after installing taskbar gnome shell extension but am using deepin desktop and face this problem from wine 3.06 to latest version wine 3.17 please if you gonna reply me send me to gmail account : mahmoud.elswerky(a)gmail.com or telegram account at again again ,, no one listen to me i face this problem it is a major problem for me this problem wasn't presnt untill wine 3.5 devel then it appeared in coming updates till latest version now 3.17 please read this problem and reply to me to feel that am not talking to my self the problem is : in deepin desktop when i install internet downlaod manager ,, the system tray icon of internet download manager and active running schedule updates icon on system tray are not working both the idm icon on system tray ( or topbar if i installed unofficial deepin topbar ) and the active running schedule downalod icon on system tray also not working the most important for me is the icon of running schedule downloads in system tray where i can't restore windows of runnig schedule downloads this problem occures with me on deepin desktop from version 3.6 to version 3.17 the most recent version now please i reported this problem before and no one reply me and you even didn't see it currently i am stuck with version 3.5 due to this bug as idm is one of reasons for using wine please fix this problem and reply to me to know that you saw this bug report i am using manjaro deepin also same bug occur in deepin os my email is mahmoud.elswerky(a)gmail.com and Telegram id is : @elswerky https://t.me/elswerky @elswerky because i didn't get a notification when i get a reply here and i just saw your comment now thx for your reply -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. I can't reproduce this either. It looks like a deepin bug.
hmm this bug don't appear in any version of wine till v 3.5 the coommit i posted here i did the regression test many times and it gave me the same commit to cause the problem again the problem in short the system tray icon of idm doesn't work ,,the icon is present in system tray but not working at all ,,also when i run scheduled downloads ,,their icon appears in system tray but don't work and as a result i can't restore running schedule downlaod menu from system tray now what is applied to system tray bug applies to deepin topbar if i installed it anyway ,,thx for reply and trying to fix it -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
