Run with LANG=ja_JP.UTF-8. MUSICUS has worked fine in every devel version of WINE since August 2020, probably earlier. (According to https://www.reddit.com/r/wine_gaming/comments/mecka2/wine_failed_to_load_sta... multiple games are affected.)
