I too get: Failed to find the resources for this executable. My guess is that the problem is in SetThreadUILanguage It gets a bit further with the hack at the end*** (MSDN says If the language identifier is 0, the function always succeeds and returns the identifier of the language that best supports the Windows console.) The MUI app tries to locate its resource dlls based on the returned language identifier - which should be non-zero even if zero is specified.
