This happens in the game menu, detailed unit view and in the purchase menu. I can reproduce the problem with the demo version, using the reported Wine-1.3.28, and up to 1.3.32. 1.3.33 as well as 1.3.34 display text correctly for me, so there is a chance this is fixed for you too. Fedora 16 x86 X.Org X Server 1.11.2 Nvidia 250 / driver 290.10 p.s: may I ask what video card and driver you're using? Seeing the screenshots in Appdb I noticed that many in-game elements are rendered correctly in your screenshots (e.g. the mini-map, the weather reticle and others). Those are either missing or completely black on my system.
