I just switched to ubuntu from Windows. I installed and instantly noticed a problem with the mouse. The mouse seems to speed up and slow down randomly. http://youtu.be/cZmH1LrnGv8 I'm using a Logitch G500. It only happens in-game. In League of Legends (also running through wine), it works perfectly fine. I have tried disabling mouse acceleration both in-game and in the system. I usually play this game in windowed mode, so it doesn't usually affect me. However, this mouse issue happens if I go fullscreen. Basically, the mouse sensitivity changes. It seems to speed up or slow down at random intervals during use. Obviously, as a shooter-style game, this is a major issue (aim can be messed up because of a sudden mouse change of speed). This happens only on Jedi Academy, and only when it's in full screen. Exactly what Ubuntu version, and what's your X Server version? (X -version)
I'm not the original poster, but I'll give some information anyway. I just installed 1.5.8 and it hasn't changed anything (the bug is still present). My Xorg version is 1.11.3 on Ubuntu 12.04 x64 (kernel 3.2.0-26). The mouse in the singleplayer is crap by default, but I played through it a little bit and it's still happening. Ive quit jka a few times and never remember that issue. Its as soon as I installed a fresh new ubuntu OS from windows 7.
