[Bug 58826] New: Winhq 10.17 seems to loose window focus??
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58826 Bug ID: 58826 Summary: Winhq 10.17 seems to loose window focus?? Product: Wine Version: 10.17 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: mikes(a)guam.net Distribution: --- Just upgraded to 10.17 and notices a change in process. Seems to loose focus on the wine window? Click on something, and the try entering a character, and nothing happens. Have to click on top of wine window to get focus back, and then pressing key works. I've noticed the with Pegasus email 4.91, but not sure if it is only with that app, or with many apps. Another user posted an issue with an earlier wine issue with Pegasus. But think this is new with 10.17. I've also noticed, that it seems to also have the XFCE bottom panel pop up at same time. Generally, it hides when not in use, but should only pop back up when mouse is moved in that lower area, but in this case the mouse pointer is no where near that area?? http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58826 --- Comment #1 from Michael Setzer II <mikes(a)guam.net> --- Add some details on issue as seen with 10.17. Download emails. List emails in inbox. If click on top one and press D to delete. email is delete and next one slides up. If attempt to delete it, nothing happens. Have to click on it twice to get focus back, and then D will delete it. Hadn't happened on any previous versions. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

However if I twice select a mail folder in Folders window in Pegasus and then click on a mail in New mail folder window, the first click only sets focus to the New mail folder windows but does not select the mail. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58826 --- Comment #3 from Michael Setzer II <mikes(a)guam.net> --- I've also done testing to better see what is happening. If I download new messages. If I use Del key to delete a message, then Del again doesn't work? If I click on the Delete button, it will delete with no problem. But think clicking on button brings back focus, with press the del key is going to some unfocused location, and thus ausing nothing to happen? Think something has changed. Using del key, cuases the message to delete, and next line shifts up, but focus goes somewhere, and one needs to bring focus back by either kicking on top bar of Pegasus Window or somewhere inside. If clicking on message in window, one generally needs to click twice to get it highlighted (blue). Hopefully, this will be a quick like to one of the changes in 10.17. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58826 --- Comment #4 from Michael Setzer II <mikes(a)guam.net> --- Just to updated. Still exists in 10.18 update as well. Highlighting a message and used Del key works first time, but hitting del key to delete next message has nothing happen. Either have to use mouse to click on next message and then del, or click on Delete button with mouse. Seems the focus is going somewhere else. Worked from with 10.16 and before, but 10.17 and 10.18 require using the mouse versus just using del and enter. Using Fedora 42 and XFCE. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
