patch to solve this problem but could break a lot other things

Win XP:
FindFirstFile cache/*.*
failed with error 3: Das System kann den angegebenen Pfad nicht finden.

FindFirstFile cache/foo.bar
failed with error 3: Das System kann den angegebenen Pfad nicht finden.
