This seems to be a very rare signal race but not these bugs that plagued Wine on recent 2.6.3x kernels. I've could not reliably reproduce it enough to deduce some info. One day I got two failures (same as bug reporter) in about 20 runs, the other day when I tried to look at it with more detail, I ran the thing 50 times (automated, using script) and could not get even a single failure. This might turn out being not a Wine bug at all... Even if this is a non-issue, bug 16956 is still the big blocker for the installer.
