'winetricks d3dx9_36' 3. run ConfigTool.exe and uncheck the option 'software cursor' 4. start 'fsasgame.exe' and you should see that there's a white box around the mouse pointer. If you enable anti-aliasing in the configuration tool, then hardware mouse pointer is invisible. In UFO:ET Gold the mouse pointer is visible when you start the game, but it becomes hidden if you move the mouse pointer out of the screen (virtual desktop) and move it back to the game screen.
