Yes, that does help. It allows the game to run, though without sound. Mouse is also quirky and seems to lose focus on "bars" on the left and right of the screen, you can tell when you see the mouse cursor being rendered through the back of the game. Technically invalid, as windows doesn't include those dlls either.
